The upcoming fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr and Victor Ortiz is already in the air and you can really see the increase on the number of searches in Google.com. Mayweather vs Ortiz will be on September 17 inside the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. It will be televised on HBO Boxing pay-per-view which will be made available in over 15 million homes worldwide.

HBO is not the only company to televise the fight. Because of the efforts of Golden Boy Promotions, a company owned by Oscar de la Hoya, over a dozen networks decided to broadcast the fight this Saturday (which will be Sunday, September 18th in other parts of the world).

The Mayweather vs Ortiz fight is co-promoted by Mayweather Promotions in association with Tecate, Dewalt and ATT. The Pay-Per-View will be available to Sports Bars, Restaurants and Casinos.



The HD (High Definition) feed for the PPV in the United States titled as Star Power costs $69.95 while the standard signal costs $59.95. This is an all-time high for a single pay-per-view. The broadcast price has steadily increased for big events from $49.95, to $54.95 and higher, and now the HD charge costs an extra $10.

No matter how much the pay-per-view price, boxing fans still want to see Floyd Mayweather fight again after 16 long months of inactivity.
