Schaefer said that they will use "Star Power" as the name of the fight because Mayweather is the biggest star in boxing today and Victor Ortiz is one of the most explosive guys in boxing because he can knock anybody down.
Floyd Mayweather last fought in May 1, 2010 against "Sugar" Shane Mosley and won in the lopsided bout. Mosley never had another chance at pulling an upset after that 2nd round right hook which he landed in face of the undefeated fellow American.
Victor Ortiz last fought in April 16 this year against then undefeated Andre Berto. Many thought that Andre will win the fight via KO in the first few rounds but Ortiz proved them wrong. He was relentless in showing what he's got and his heart as a boxer was really seen during that fight.
On September 17, in the Mayweather vs Ortiz fight, many will surely watch both Stars in the boxing world. Mayweather is one of the biggest draws in boxing today and his fights usually lands in the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, even though an agreement was not finalized yet.
The upcoming super-fight will be televised via HBO PPV and a 24/7 reality TV series will help in hyping up the fight so Ortiz won't become a heavy underdog.
