Location of the Floyd-Victor Fight

For those who don't know the location of the fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr and Victor Ortiz, it will be at the MGM Grand Garden Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The Mayweather vs Ortiz location is deemed to be the best spot to hold this mega-event in the sport of boxing because tickets, even if they are expensive, sold-out fast.

Floyd "Money" Mayweather is considered as boxing's biggest star while "Vicious" Victor Ortiz is considered as boxing's newest star after beating Andre Berto and acquiring the WBC (World Boxing Council) Welterweight Belt which he is going to defend in the upcoming September 17 fight.

Mexican legend Erik Morales will be part of the undercard. He will fight Argentinean Lucas Matthyse who is believed to be a serious threat to Morales' career. Included in the undercard will be Jesus Vargas vs Josesito Lopes who are both Mexican-American.

Before the Mayweather vs Ortiz mega-fight, there will be a mega-fight to be held in another location. Mexican fast-rising star Saul "Canelo"Alvarez will fight Alfonso Gomez on a different venue. The fight will take place at the staples center but it will be aired on the same broadcast.

This is the first time that HBO and Golden Boy Promotions will produce a mega-event which will happen in two locations. This is because the fight is scheduled on a weekend after the Mexican Independence Day and Mexican's expect a big-time bout to take place.

Even with Victor Ortiz's American nationality - because he was born in Garden City, Kansas - his fighting spirit is still Mexican. He is fast and strong and he is not afraid of anybody including the undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Floyd is predicted to win this fight but Victor will give it his all to bring a hefty amount home plus the pride of being the first boxer to win against the sport's biggest draw.
