HBO 24/7 Mayweather vs Ortiz starts August 27

The reality TV series HBO 24/7: Mayweather vs Ortiz will start on August 27. This is the best way to promote the much anticipated fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr and Victor Ortiz titled as "Star Power".

HBO 24/7 is a 14-time Emmy Award winner because of its awe-inspiring ways to feature the lives of the boxers. This will be its 10th time to promote a mega-fight and fans are expecting new ideas and techniques in the ways the production team will handle the promotion.

As announced by Ross Greenburg, president of HBO Sports, there will be an all-new four-episode, all-access series which will debut on Saturday, August 27 (10:00-10:30 p.m. ET/PT). The HBO 24/7 series will go behind two elite fighters in one of boxing’s most cutthroat divisions as they prepare for their captivating pay-per-view face-off at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 17, 2011.

"The return of Floyd Mayweather, with his larger-than-life personality, and the odyssey of Victor Ortiz, with his inspiring tale of perseverance and achievement, provide the perfect backdrop for this new edition of '24/7'. " said Ross Greenburg in an interview with "24/7 excels when there are great characters and compelling drama, and this fight has both."

The Mayweather vs Ortiz 24/7 Episode 2 will be on the following Saturday after the first episode. It will be on September 3 (10:00-10:30 p.m.) and the 3rd Episode will be on September 10 (10:00-10:30 p.m.).
