Fight results forecast, Mayweather will win versus Ortiz

Over eighty percent of boxing fans from all over the world believe that the results of the Ortiz vs Mayweather fight on Saturday, September 17th is easy to predict. Many agree that the fight will be won by undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Mayweather, whose professional boxing career started on October 1996, is one of the few boxers who have won more that forty times and still remained unbeaten. He is very proud of his achievements, not only as an undefeated boxer with six world championships, but as a father to his children and owner of a foundation.

Many see Floyd as an arrogant person; and in fact, I also think he is. He is one of the few boxers who really know how to sell an event even if it includes blatantly promoting the fight which includes scuffles during the face-off in a press conference and trash-talking in the promotional videos.

This coming Saturday, September 17th, Floyd Mayweather Jr will fight versus Victor Ortiz Jr who will defend his WBC Welterweight Title.

Twenty-four year old Ortiz is confident to be victorious against the much-followed Floyd Mayweather. He believes the 10-year gap between him and Floyd gives him the advantage. Victor has shown the world that he is a young lion who is going to give it his all inside and outside the boxing ring. His rugs-to-riches story really inspired a lot of people. Some of this people hopes he wins this biggest fight of his career.

Ortiz has two defeats in his record but the only clear loss was the fight against Marcos Maidana where the Argentinean fought back relentlessly after suffering a knockdown in the early going and ending the fight in a knockout.

In his last fight, Victor proved to the world that he is prepared for anything including an undefeated knockout specialist, Andre Berto, who was once included in the lottery to fight boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.

Floyd Mayweather is one of the greatest boxers of all time. He is the most intelligent and the most elusive of all the boxers today. The last time he fought was in May 1, 2010 against fellow American Shane Mosley whom he outclassed and won in a lopsided manner.

This Saturday, Mayweather will win versus Ortiz. It will be the result of the fight as predicted by many. Floyd has won a lot of well-known boxers including Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya, Luis Castillo, Zab Judah, and Juan Manuel Marquez. His confidence of winning every battle he's in is very high because he knows his "hardwork" and "dedication" are 100% every time he trains in his own gym. The result of all his efforts led to giving him the pound-for-pound throne for years until he vacated it by not fighting again within year.

Mayweather will win versus Ortiz but will it be a knockout or decision? Fans are split on this. A lot of boxing devotees believe that Floyd will have a hard fight in the first few rounds. In the later rounds, he will control the fight and win in a UD (Unanimous Decision) or SD (Split Decision). Many others also think that Mayweather will win this fight via a late round knockout. In 2009, Floyd won against previously undefeated Ricky Hatton by stoppage and this might be the same case against Mexican-American Ortiz.

The only way for Ortiz to win is by a lucky punch in the early rounds. The results will surely change if Victor can hit Mayweather with a solid punch within the first four rounds. He is a young boxer who can inflict excruciating pain using his combination of uppercuts and hooks.

Mayweather vs Ortiz Results

In Mayweather's fight against Mosley, he was hit with a solid punch in the second round. Because of Mosley's age, he was not able to continue with his barrage of punches thus giving Mayweather more time to breathe and compose himself. Against Ortiz, the results will be different if Victor hits Floyd in the button with just one solid punch.

Pulling an upset in the sport of boxing is no longer new. The greatest of all these upsets is the Tyson-Douglas fight, which happened many years ago. Victor is the underdog even though he is the champion. He will do everything to return home with his $2.5-million paycheck, championship belt, and the pride of winning against one of the best boxers in this generation.
