Face off with Max Kellerman of HBO

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Sugar Shane Mosley met at HBO Studios for an intimate interview with Max Kellerman.

"This era's truly greatest fighters. Coming off sensational wins. Will engage in a real super-fight, Floyd Mayweather and Sugar Shane Mosley" as introduced by Max Kellerman. Mayweather and Mosley greeted each other with a short handshake.

The last time Max Kellerman was between Floyd Mayweather and Sugar Shane Mosley, things got heated. It was inside the boxing ring after a big win of Floyd against Marquez. Floyd who got very intimadated said he is not the match-maker so it's not what he is going to do and everything takes time.

Now, Floyd is happy to face Sugar Shane Mosley on May 1st.

Max showed a 1999 magazine with a prediction that someday two of the greatest fighters will fight in the ring, one is Sugar Shane Mosley, the other is predicted as Floyd Mayweather. The fact is Floyd Mayweather is the biggest star in boxing and the biggest money-maker and has replaced Oscar dela Hoya.

Shane is extremely competitive but he is not the biggest in boxing at this time. Floyd asked Mosley that coming May 1st he will need to respect Sugar Shane's skills.

From the video we learned that Mayweather doesn't read books, doesn't read magazines, haven't seen Margarito got beated.

Mosley who said he was too old, got Mayweather's attention and things got a little funny.

Since the Mayweather vs Pacquiao collapsed and Mosley is the next biggest paycheck that is why this Mayweather vs Mosley will happen.

Just be ready for May 1st, it's going down!!!

Random Urine and Drug Testing

Part of the written agreement of Mayweather vs Mosley "Who R U Picking?" Boxing Fight to be held on May 1, 2010 at MGM Grand Las Vegas Nevada is a random Urine and Blood testing before and after the fight. This is one of the reason why the Mayweather vs Pacquiao intended fight last March 13, 2010 collapsed and a Pacquiao vs Clottey fight was organized.

Representatives of boxers Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley together with Golden Boy Promotions head Oscar dela Hoya and Richard Schaefer has disclosed their anti-doping procedures for the upcoming Mayweather vs Mosley welterweight fight.

Travis Tygart, the head of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, said that both fighters (Mayweather and Mosley) will be subjected to random urine and/or blood tests from now "until and after the fight." The urine tests will be for steroids detection and the blood tests will be to search for such performance-enhancers as human growth hormone or HGH, synthetic hemoglobin and blood transfusions.

Mosley in 2007 admitted he unknowingly took BALCO steroids. He was a "health-freak" who had no idea what he took for several weeks in the fall of 2003 where his former strength and conditioning coach pressured him to take "the clear" and "the cream" a BALCO designed steroids.

Mosley said in an interview with ESPN.com that "Unknowingly, yes, some of the substances they are talking about, were being used as part of the workouts. I didn't know what the hell it was".

Mayweather who was invited by Mosley several times for a boxing match a couple of years ago, did not accepted the challenge. It was only now that he decided to take on Mosley and said that he will be an easy opponent for him because Mosley is already old.

According to Tygart if the boxer shows a positive result it would leave him suspended from boxing for two years, a condition which both fighters have agreed to.

Floyd Mayweather's desire for a more rigorous testing program than what Nevada offers is a random urine testing before and immediately after the bout. This contributed to the failed negotiations to stage a fight against Manny Pacquiao earlier this year.

After the break down of the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight, Mayweather stood up to his decision that every boxer should have a random urine and blood testing before and after every fight.

After the Mayweather vs Mosley fight, a possible fight with Manny Pacquiao and the winner will be held later this year....

Several reasons why Mosley beats Mayweather

Mayweather vs Mosley is one of the biggest boxing fights this year and may possibly beat the PPV and audience numbers of Pacquiao vs Clottey.

The unbeaten Floyd "Money" Mayweather may suffer his first defeat on May 1, 2010 and I have several valid reasons why Sugar Shane Mosley beats him in the upcoming "Who R U Pickin?" Mayweather vs Mosley bout.

Stamina and Conditioning
Both fighters based on their previous fights gets a lot stronger and better at the later rounds. Floyd who is always focused on getting good stamina in a boxing match may have a slight edge against the older Mosley. But on Mosley's notable fights such as against Margarito and Cotto, his punching power was getting stronger and more accurate in the late rounds.

Chin
I picked Mosley to be better on this one. I only seen Shane Mosley got on the canvass once in his entire career. He has encountered a lot of bigger and stronger opponents with KO abilities but has never been to the canvass again. Mayweather who is noted to be a Cherry Picker and chooses Light Punchers have been rocked by DeMarcus Corley and Zab Judah. I anticipate Mosley to have a technique to penetrate that shoulder roll defense of Mayweather.

Size & Strength
Mosley is the bigger and stronger boxer of the two. No doubts. He has been noted to do more than 300 bench presses. Mosley is naturally a bigger man and can come up the ring 8-10lbs bigger than Mayweather.

Punching Power
I don't see this as a fire fight. As Mayweather is more into defending his face, body and counter-punching. But if ever this fight ends up a real brawl, Mayweather may suffer a KO loss. Mosley's fire fight with Dela Hoya and Margarito may have been one of his most exciting matches.

Defense
Both fighters are very elusive and both are hard to punch but I give more score to Mayweather. Mosley is more hittable but not that hard to hit too.

Speed
I don't see speed as the real factor of this game. I give Mosley a slight edge but I don't discredit Mayweather's fast reflexes. The last 3 fights of Mayweather (against Marquez, Hatton and dela Hoya) may have been his 3 largest fights but his speed is no longer the same when he was at 130 lbs. Mosley even at welterweight had maintained and even improved his speed.

Experience
No doubt, Shane Mosley is better and overall he has fought better and stronger fighters. He has fought dela Hoya twice and won the first one convincingly and the second one controversially. Shane fought Wright and Forrest twice and lost also twice to each fighter.

Mosley won against Ricardo Mayorga who incidentally stopped Vernon Forrest and fought Miguel Cotto with a very slight margin loss. Mosley's fight against the controversial Antonio Margarito (for his hand-wraps) has made no doubt he is one of the best welterweights. His win against Fernando Vargas was one of his best. He never turned down bigger and stronger opponents.

Mayweather on the other hand may have won against prime fighters such as dela Hoya, Hatton and Marquez but all three are no longer at their peak. The fight against Zab Judah was one of Mayweather's best. The win against Carlos Baldomir and Shamba Mitchell were also impressive.

Conclusion
My personal prediction in the Mayweather vs Mosley fight is a KO win for Mosley, stopping Mayweather between 8th-11th round. If ever this fight ends in Decision, It would be a UD for Mosley. Mosley can bring more impression to the judges because he punches more and most of them are accurate. Mayweather is fighting against the more experienced brawler. He may think that Mosley is already too old for him at this part of his career but nevertheless, it will still be an all out war. Mosley has studied Mayweather's moves and has designed some strategies to penetrate the evasive, elusive, & great defense of Floyd Mayweather.

Mayweather must win against Mosley

After the Pacquiao vs Clottey fight last March 13, 2010, Mayweather was challenged by Pacquiao, Ariza and Roach to take the fight against Manny later this year. He was pressured to win against the hard-punching Shane Mosley. The Mayweather vs Mosley fight will happen on May 1, 2010 at the MGM Grand and Pacquiao Team is expecting a Mayweather win to give them a fight against Floyd. If the mega fight of Mayweather vs Pacquiao is expected to give them more than $30 million pay day per boxer.

Shane Mosley on the other hand is religiously preparing for the upcoming fight against Floyd as he will be the best boxer to fight Pacquiao if he gives the first loss of Floyd. Previously, Shane insisted to have a fight with Manny Pacquiao not minding the very low purse split.

Floyd Mayweather who challenged Pacquiao after the latters' win against Miguel Cotto had a lot of conditions to make the mega fight happen. It was was supposedly scheduled to happen on March 13, 2010 instead of the Pacquiao vs Clottey fight. Floyd is now doing his best to win this fight. Negotiations with Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank Promotions will continue weeks after the Mayweather vs Mosley fight on May 1, 2010.

Getting Physical at the Press Conference

Music blared over the loudspeakers, smoke billowed across the stage, and the curtain dropped to reveal Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Shane Mosley dressed to the nines as a crowd of several thousand let out a roar.

Mayweather vs Mosley started out a conversation when they meet face to face during their Press Conference. After about 10 seconds of trash-talking Floyd started to push Mosley and Mosley reacted by grabbing the hands of Floyd. This is just to hype the fight and many will believe that they really hate each other. You know... sometimes boxers can also be actors. ^_^

Just enjoy watching this video and tell me what you think about it.

Promoting the fight

After the failed negotiations of Floyd Mayweather under Golden Boy Promotions and Manny Pacquiao of Top Rank, The Mayweather vs Mosley fight was set and is said to blow away all numbers in pay-per-views which Manny Pacquiao has made. The estimated pay-per-view sales will be more than 3 million.

Promoting the Mayweather vs Mosley fight is not as easy as promoting a Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather match-up. According to Oscar dela Hoya, this is the boxing match that the world is waiting for. He said it is like promoting the Ali vs Foreman or any other Sugar Ray Leonard fights but the Fans who attended the Press Conference did not boo but didn't react positive too.

Oscar who previously fought both Mosley and Mayweather said that "The two best fighters on the world today are fighting on May 1st, 2010".

The PPV goal needs to be accomplished and Richard Schaefer has partnered with Procter and Gamle, Tecate Beer and De Walt Power Tools to give discounts to the boxing fans. It's one historic strategy in boxing and Golden Boy Promotions still has a lot to do with the Marketing Plan to achieve the hype.

The normal HBO 3-4 episode 24/7 will air one month before the boxing match of Mayweather vs Mosley to boost up the fans sensation to watch the fight.
