As much as we wanna see Mayweather get washed, I don't think it's likely to happen against Ortiz

Numerous boxing fans believed that Victor Ortiz would be "Vicious" enough to hand Floyd "Money" Mayweather his first defeat in his 16-year professional boxing career. I know a lot of boxing fans out there agree with me that as much as we want to see the undefeated American suffer his first loss, it is less likely to happen on Saturday in the Mayweather vs Ortiz fight.

Floyd Mayweather Jr may be the villain of the sport but he has also made it what it is today - $70 for HD (High Definition) pay-per-view, not giving the fans what they want by not fighting Pacquiao, long absences from the sport is still fine, random drug testing and a lot more. Obviously, he is one of the best boxer-promoters of this generation who knows how to promote his fights blatantly - including the upcoming Mayweather vs Ortiz.

Mayweather's date with Victor Ortiz is on Sept 17 at 6pm Pacific Time (or 9pm Eastern Time). The event dubbed as Star Power features entertaining undercards' Alvarez vs Gomez, Morales vs Cano and Vargas vs Lopez. Mayweather vs Ortiz will be the main event.

Twenty-four year old Victor Ortiz [won 29 (KO 22) + lost 2 (KO 1) + drawn 2 = 33] may be the current WBC (World Boxing Council) Welterweight title-holder but his chances at winning against the Grand Rapids native is low.

Many people do not like Floyd Mayweather [won 41 (KO 25) + lost 0 (KO 0) + drawn 0 = 41] because of his personality. Some of the reasons why many disapprove him is that he does not respect is father, as seen in Mayweather vs Ortiz 24 7 Episode 1, he has unlimited alibis so he can't fight Manny Pacquiao, he has multiple pending legal cases, he is too arrogant with his fame and fortune, among many others.

Intelligent people do not judge Mayweather because they do not know him personally and they do not know what the issue really is.

On Saturday, millions of boxing fans from all over the world want to see Mayweather lost to Ortiz; and they do not want to see a unanimous decision, they want to see a knockout loss that would surely bring embarrassment to Floyd who has always shown self-importance.

The problem is this: Ortiz is too young for Mayweather, who is at the prime of his career. The second problem is what will happen to the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight if Mayweather losses to Ortiz?
