Post-fight Press Conference

Channel 2: Post-fight Press Conference

Above is a free live streaming of the post-fight press conference between Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr and "Vicious" Victor Ortiz. The fight ended in just four rounds because of a controversial punch, coming from Mayweather, which hit Victor Ortiz.

In the last 20 seconds of the Mayweather vs Ortiz bout, Victor got a chance to put Floyd Mayweather on the ropes. He was all out but his punches could not hit the undefeated American clearly. Because of frustration, Victor jumped like a rocket and hit Floyd's chin with his head. Referee Joe Cortez stopped the action and deducted a point to Victor. Before the referee was able to say "fight" or "go", Victor was still apologizing to Floyd for what happened. Until suddenly, Mayweather hit Ortiz with a left-hook and right-straight combination with kayoed him. Mayweather won the fight after Cortez counted ten even though he was still watching at the timekeeper to start the clock and did not see the two punches of Floyd.

Many thinks that the fight was scripted and the main director was Floyd Mayweather. Ortiz and Cortez were supporting actors. But many analysts and enthusiasts say it was not a staged fight because of the happenings, even though, for us fans, it is unusual.
